VASIA “sister” program in Indianapolis highlighted on NPR radio

On April 26, 2018, a story aired on National Public Radio (NPR) program “All things Considered” entitled, “In Indiana, Advocates For Senior Citizens Form Army Of Guardians To Offer Care.” It highlighted volunteers for the VASIA program using volunteer advocates matched up with seniors and incapitated adults under the guardianship of Center for At Risk Adults (CARE), Inc., an Indianapolis, Indiana-based program. Guardian Advocates was inspired by CARE to start a nonprofit corporation and separate program in Madison County, Indiana.
