Amber works as a part-time “utility” worker since she assumes the executive director position with local non-profit Guardian Advocates Inc, which she co-founded with her husband, attorney John Longnaker.
She continues to be the bedrock of the firm’s elder law and estate planning practice, its office administrative matters, and guardianships. She has worked at Longnaker Law Office for over 17+ years in the office’s Probate & Estates, Trust Administration & Guardianships. As a paralegal she provides indispensable support to your attorney handling difficult guardianship cases, from drafting legal documents to managing estate inventories and coordinating with beneficiaries. She also has 13 years’ work experience in the Madison County Probate Office, Clerk’s Office and County Election Office, for a total length of law-related career of nearly 30+ years.
She is a Wonder Woman figure in 2 busy offices to her colleagues and to clients who are experiencing grief, loss, health issues, and legal issues. She is a confident advocate for those needing help. Amber is known for her ability to personally connect with and encourage clients during what is often a challenging and emotional time. She strives to always listen and to respond as she would if you were a family member.
She has been happily married for more than 27 years and has 3 grown children and 1 grand-dog. She was born and raised in Pendleton, Indiana, and now calls Anderson her home for many years.
