She has worked at Longnaker Law Office for over 15 years in the office’s Probate & Estates, Trust Administration & Guardianships. As a paralegal she provides indispensable support to your attorney handling difficult probate cases, from drafting legal documents to managing estate inventories and coordinating with beneficiaries. She also has work experience in litigation law practice, having worked for 10+ years for family law, criminal, and litigation law firms, for a total length of paralegal career of 25+ years.
She is a calming force in a busy office to her colleagues and to clients who are experiencing grief, loss, health issues, and legal issues. She is unflappable and graceful under pressure. Ellyn is known for her ability to simplify the probate process for clients during what is often a challenging and emotional time. She strives to always listen and to respond in an understandable, caring way, with diligence.
Her commitment to elder law extends beyond her professional duties; she
serves as a board director and secretary-treasurer for a local volunteer group called
Volunteer Advocates for Seniors & Incapacitated Adults (VASIA) for the non-profit,
Guardian Advocates Inc, which provides valuable protection, advocacy, and support
to seniors and adults with disabilities.
She has been happily married for more than 34 years and have 2 grown
children and 4 grandchildren. She was born and raised in Selma, Indiana, and now
recently calls Alexandria her home after living in Anderson for many years.
